Our Bishop Most.Rev.Nazrane Susai was born on May 20, 1939 at Mel Manaudy of Kanyakumari district. He was ordained as priest on April 18, 1966, consecrated as Bishop of Kumbakonam on January 3, 1990 and installed as Bishop of Kottar on August 24, 2007.
Bishop Peter Remigius had served the Diocese of Kumbakonam for 17 years. He had served also as Executive Director of Caritas India prior to becoming the Bishop of Kumbakonam. Presently among the many offices, he is serving as Chairman of Caritas India, one of the largest nongovernmental organizations of the country.
